If you access your email in a browser, you'll love Notify. Notify is an awesome email notifier for Mac OS X. It fits seamlessly into your menubar, only vying for your attention when you have new mail. Notify supports mutliple accounts, including Gmail/Google Apps, MobileMe, and Rackspace Email. All in a beautiful interface.
Huge performance improvements.
We've rewritten a large portion of Notify's backend. What does this mean to you? Faster updates. In some cases, Notify is twice as fast.
New messages take less time to download, and updating multiple accounts is now an order of magnitude faster than before. In fact, updating four accounts is now just as fast as updating one.
The graph on the left represents the time it takes Notify to start Up, fetch your messages, and notify you of them. This is almost twice as fast in 2.1.
Features:
- Multiple Message Selections
One of the largest requests we got in 2.0, so here it is. Notify now allows you to easily select multiple messages, as you would in any other application.
- Mail Client Integration
Notify now integrates with your system's default mail client. Set Notify to open a message in your mail client when clicking a Growl notification, or when double clicking a message in the message list.
- Non-Blocking Controls
Notify used to block the UI when marking a message as read, or deleting. Now, these Things happen in the background, allowing you to continue to move and manage messages without delay.
- Preview Window Controls
In 2.1 we've added controls to the preview window, to allow you to mark messages read, and delete them from the preview window. We've also added Previous/Next buttons to allow you to more easily navigate the message list.
- Move To Functionality
Notify 2.1 Pro now lets you move messages to any folder within your iMap account. Hold down option while moving messages to also mark them as read. This allows Gmail users to archive mail.
